Enrollment
Eligibility and Application for Enrollment
Enrollment is open to all those homeschooling or interested in homeschooling. Before applying for enrollment, please contact the director (NatomasHA@gmail.com) with any questions and for instructions in navigating our on-line enrollment system.
Application for Enrollment
Applicants must agree to abide by the NHA Community Values Statement (see below).
In order to participate in classes, all families need to complete an enrollment application and a release of liability form which are available at the links below. Upon completion, the forms should be returned to the Enrollment Coordinator. This is typically done in mid-August and is not necessary to participate in on-line enrollment which usually happens in July. For the 2020 Fall classes on Zoom, forms are not necessary with the exception of the liability release for those taking PE.
The information provided on the Enrollment Form is for NHA use only. To protect privacy, the information may not be reproduced or distributed to any organization or person outside NHA, except that some or all of it may be included in the NHA Roster. Misuse of the Roster or the Enrollment Form information will be grounds for termination from NHA.
Registration Fees
Fees are determined by the governing board and have been suspended for the 2020-2021 school year. Fees are due August 31. The fee period begins the month one enrolls until the following August 31st, with the exception of summer enrollments. Summer enrollments will pay fees for the following year.
If a member voluntarily chooses to leave NHA, no fees will be refunded. If the member is asked to leave, prorated family registration fees will be refunded. Student fees are non-refundable.

Community Values Statement
If you are thinking about enrolling in NHA, please read this. Becoming familiar with NHA’s shared social values will allow you to make a more informed decision about whether or not NHA is the right group for you.
NHA Park Days and other activities are intended to provide a safe and friendly atmosphere for NHA families, as well as to reinforce positive social behavior among our children. To this end, we agree that certain fundamental standards of behavior should be followed at all NHA-organized activities.
1. As participants in NHA events, activities and forums, parents and children will behave in such a way that supports a respectful and peaceful atmosphere for all, including:
2. At Park Day and other events, we recognize that we are each responsible for our own children at all times. We must know where our children are, and we must be attentive enough so that we can be available to them if and when a problem arises. We agree to leave the park or play area only if (1) another adult has agreed to supervise our children and (2) our children have agreed to cooperate with that adult.
3. We also recognize that none of us is perfect, and that “bad days” happen. If a member of our family is unable to share these values on a particular day, we agree to go home, knowing that we are welcome to come back and try again next week. However, if a member of our family repeatedly or severely disrupts the safe and peaceful atmosphere of the event, the event coordinator has the authority to request that we stop participating in it. We agree to cooperate.
4. In the case of events such as classes, which we, as parents, may not be attending, we agree to make sure that our children have read and understand NHA’s Community Values and that they have agreed to uphold NHA’s behavioral standards, with or without parental supervision.
